Since 2004, Equinox Consulting has provided clients in the banking and finance industries with end-to-end strategy and operations consulting. Our rapidly-growing team of consultants is young and dynamic, and possesses in-depth knowledge of our clients’ markets and industries.

The team has grown from 40 consultants in 2004 to nearly 150 at end-2009. This year we plan to hire additional consultants in order to keep pace with rapid growth.

We are seeking candidates that are detail-oriented and independent. Given the likelihood of international assignments, fluency in English is also a prerequisite.

To support the growth of our Insurance Advisory practice, we are now hiring insurance industry experts (consultants and managers) who are fully aware of the challenges this industry faces.

The ideal candidate will hold a graduate-level degree from a recognized university and have relevant experience in the insurance industry, preferably with a consulting firm, auditing firm, or large insurance company. The ideal candidate will also be highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit, looking to join a young firm to help it expand its business. He or she will be eager to build insurance industry expertise through strategy and organizational consulting assignments with top insurers.

Our Retail Banking practice is growing. We are currently seeking candidates with retail banking expertise. The positions available range from senior-consultant-level to management-level.

The ideal candidate will hold a graduate degree from a recognized university or other institution of higher learning and have two to five years’ experience in retail banking or specialised financial services at a consulting or auditing firm.

The ideal candidate will also be highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit. He or she will be looking to become a part of our team and help expand our retail banking practice while acquiring additional expertise through operations strategy and organizational consulting assignments for the industry’s top players.

To support the growth of our Corporate & Investment Banking practice, we are currently hiring senior consultants (with two to six years of experience) and managers.

The ideal candidate will hold a graduate-level degree from a recognized university or business school and have significant experience in consulting, project management, process improvements, auditing, and/or operations within a financial institution.

The ideal candidate will also have solid knowledge of at least one of the following areas:

• Front-office capital markets, trading, sales
• Negotiations, order execution
• Financing
• Market risk, counterparty risk, P&L
• Commodities trading (for corporates and banks)
• Post-trading services all the way through to transaction accounting
• Clearing and collateral management
