1. What did you do before joining Equinox?
I graduated from École Centrale in Lyon. The program of study there included a culminating internship, which I completed at an organization and strategy consulting firm in London. Prior to that, I had done several internships in manufacturing, mainly in project management.
2. Why did you decide to join Equinox Consulting?
I wanted to work for a young, dynamic company on a human scale that would also give me an opportunity to complete a wide variety of assignments in constantly-challenging environments. Equinox Consulting had all of the qualities I was looking for. In fact, the more I see, the more convinced I am that I made the right decision. The consultants at Equinox come from a variety of backgrounds and have had diverse experiences—most of them have worked overseas. Also, the firm offers many career advancement opportunities and it is well-positioned in the banking and finance industries.
3. What do you currently do at Equinox Consulting?
I have been assigned to the risk management department of a top-tier French bank. Pursuant to Basel II, I have been tasked with helping the department build an operational risk management tool.
4. What do you like best about working at Equinox Consulting?
Definitely the people. I really like how the managers and partners are so approachable—this really matters when you are new. The consultants all get along well—there’s a real team spirit. This helps newcomers find their feet quickly.
Another thing I like is how the firm encourages initiative and contributions to life at the firm. When I say “life at the firm,” I mean the many after-hours activities I have had the opportunity to take part in, from ski weekends to weekend trips abroad to poker nights.
5. What do you do when you are not at work?
I enjoy sports, especially skiing, running, and tennis. I also like to travel and socialize with friends.
